Nursing Workshop On Caring For PH Patients
This nursing workshop is designed to complement the main Postgraduate Course on Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) by focusing on the practical aspects of patient care. It equips nurses with the essential skills and knowledge needed to effectively manage patients with PH.
Key Areas of Focus
This nursing course will enhance nurses’ understanding of PH, emphasizing their role in comprehensive patient care. Participants will learn about the fundamental concepts of PH, including its underlying mechanisms and how they influence patient management.
A significant focus will be on the nurse’s role within the multidisciplinary care team, particularly in the diagnosis and ongoing management of PH. This includes training in patient assessment to support accurate and timely diagnosis, as well as the identification and monitoring of at-risk patients to facilitate early detection and intervention.
The workshops will also cover the latest treatment strategies, with an emphasis on the therapeutic challenges of administering medication via various routes. Practical management of devices will be included to reinforce these skills.
